Informational Brochure
This informational brochure was designed to accompany a 12-page report on diabetes mellitus, which I wrote as if I were a consultant who had been approached by the management of a free clinic to provide them with information on diabetes. The report is designed to be used as a reference guide by the clinic’s staff composed of mainly college interns and volunteers from the community and addresses the clinic’s concern about the increasing number of patients being diagnosed and treated for diabetes at the clinic. These patients are mainly low-income and homeless individuals.
Because of the nature of my assignment, I had to carry out extensive research and select only information that was relevant to the specific needs of my client. The brochure summarizes the key components of the report and can be handed out to recently diagnosed patients, displayed in the clinic’s waiting area and or distributed at community disease awareness events. I also drafted a transmittal letter to my client accompanying the report and the brochure.
